History

New Jersey Council of Collaborative Practice Groups was formed on June 15, 2010. The founding members consisting of interdisciplinary members of various practice groups throughout the State initiated a coalition of collaborative practitioners to promote collaborative practice in family matters throughout New Jersey. Council members are elected each year as representatives of their practice groups who are committed to the principles of collaborative practice. The New Jersey Council of Collaborative Practice Groups was a key proponent of the New Jersey Family Collaborative Law Act which was passed on September 10, 2014 and became effective December 11, 2014.
